You Do the Math

Ok.  This is a simple word problem.  (with pictures!)

When I heard the crash I came out and saw the plant and pottery and sighed in relief.  The good news is that no one needs stitches or a bone reset.  He didn't hit a window on the house (and this was pretty close) which would have sent his dear ole dad into a total rage (since he says more than 10 times a day, "those lacrosse balls can break a window you know.. you need to be careful.")

Duke, who may have a future in marketing, just explained to me that if he had that new Brine Answer head (that he's been harassing me for the last few weeks) this would not have happened.  Apparently the head provides much better accuracy than the head he has now.    However, Mom's a former accountant.  That pot?  About 3 bucks.  The plant?  About the same.  The lax head (I'll wait for you to get out your calculator)?  90 bucks plus an additional 30 bucks to string it.  Maybe I'll bring this word problem up with Duke tomorrow in our morning math class.  ;)
