I picked up Max from school. He’s pretty happy with this new arrangement of not having to ride the bus home. I had to run to the library before going home so we had a few minutes to talk.
He said, “Mom, I got a warning today.” I asked him why. With a disappointed look on his face and sigh, he said “Well, I was running instead of walking..”
“Oh… were you…”
He cut me off and continued. “..and I didn’t raise my hand. and I wasn’t being respectful because I was talking so loudly…”
I tried to keep my smirk to myself as he kept confessing. When he was finally done I tried to reassure him and said, “Well, that’s ok. Sometimes it’s hard to remember all the rules…” He said, “No they’re not Mom. They’re right there on the wall next to the sink.”

It's great he feels he can come home and confess to you!
Yes, Max is my talker. He tells me everything--even all his sins. (Which is nice). ;)
This made me smile as well! Thanks for posting.
When my 3yo confesses things without prompting, it always makes me smile--but then I wonder when he's going to learn to fib, and it makes me sad/wistful. Must learn to enjoy the moment more!
